Had you asked me two years ago I never would have thought I would be in this stage of my life. Starting college was something I always wanted to do but always thought that the time had passed for me. Never in my life would I have thought I would have all these amazing opportunities. Being a single mother of two I always struggled to make ends meet. Which is  the majority of the reason why I decided to attend college. Currently I am a junior majoring in Communication and minoring in Environmental Studies. I have  had all kinds of different experiences while attending UC Blue Ash college. Last summer I was able to study abroad in Australia for three weeks. While there I was able to study their history and see how Australia developed into a penal colony. The best part of my trip was sitting on the cliffs in Botany Bay while whale watching. The past year I have served as a CPAS mentor, working closely with other peer mentors and students. I feel as this role is my way of giving back to the incoming students who are in a spot I once was in. I have spent my summer welcoming incoming students as a Student Orientation Leader, a job that I am sad is ending. This experience has helped me get out of my comfort zone. I am very excited to see where being an ambassador leads me. Throughout my site you will see lots of pictures I like using them to share my experiences. My background pictures are from Australia!
