They say time flies when you are having fun and this week sure was fun! I was fortunate enough to participate in the Propel Ohio Leadership summit in Cleveland. Although I was only gone for oneish days, it was still full of laughter, fun, and lots of information. The topic at the summit was child poverty, which really touched me being a single mother and sometimes wondering how I will be able to afford the necessities. There was a point that we were all sitting around the table sharing our values and I started to break down and become vulnerable. Let's get on a happier note before I start to bawl like a baby again. One of the breakout sessions was about a community owned super market that was being built in a food desert. The Gem City Market really caught my attention and made me think of the endless possibilities it would bring to the community.
As far as classes go remember last week I was telling you about the monster exam I had in Rhetoric theory... well I got a B+ and I could not be happier.
